I wish I had had Tim Walz as one of my high school teachers.

Thank you, Ahmed, for expressing my feelings so clearly. I, too, felt such excitement and was hollering as I watched Kamala introduce Tim. They are both so very personable, you just want to hug them. Thank you for the extra pictures of Tim—obviously his constituents feel the same way about him. I can’t wait to display a Harris/Walz sign!

Yeah it’s a genuinely exciting moment. Feels like we could really simultaneously make history and leave Donald Trump in the past. Feeling incredibly hopeful right now. Harris and Walz are making anti-authoritarianism fun.

Thank you for this wonderful article! I had just turned six when Regan was elected in 1980. My parents were despondent and I spent the next 12 years hearing about how much Regan/Bush did to erode our middle class and exacerbate inequalities. I was glad to cast my first vote for Clinton/Gore in 1992. We were all excited Obama/Biden in 2008 and now I'm absolutely thrilled to help elect Harris/Walz in 2024!

Thanks for reading! And I always find that Reagan doesn’t get the blame he deserve for how much he contributed to income inequality. Seems like you and your fam were on top of that in real-time. Awesome you were part of the Obama movement! I’m excited for Harris to make history here again too 🙌🏾
